What is your comment on the non-proliferation resolution adopted by the United Nations on April 28^th?

     

      China welcomes this non-proliferation resolution unanimously adopted by the UN Security Council.

      China has always opposed the proliferation of WMD and its tools of delivery, actively supported international efforts against proliferation and called for solving the proliferation issue through political and diplomatic means. China supports the United Nations to play its due role in the field of non-proliferation and endorses the passage of the non-proliferation resolution by the Security Council.

      We hold that the present resolution aims to further promote and strengthen international cooperation on the basis of the existing international laws so as to properly address the problem of non-state actors acquiring and trafficking WMD and its tools of delivery and other related materials and to prevent the further proliferation of WMD.
